Paul Sino, Sustainability Manager at Nelissen Steenfabrieken, explains: "Our collaboration with Algeco began in 2020 when we did everything we could to maximize the protection of our employees against the coronavirus. One of our first actions was to limit access to our factory premises for third parties. We decided to build a facility on our premises with a dining area, sanitary facilities, showers, and changing rooms."

Temporary office space for forklift drivers

"At our location in Lanaken, we currently use both rented and purchased Algeco units to address the positive growth challenges we are experiencing in our existing production activities. Our forklift drivers now have fully equipped office units, complete with essential 360° services such as fire protection and climate control, while awaiting our approved future plans.

From this temporary modular workspace, strategically positioned to oversee transportation and production effectively, they can manage operations efficiently."

Modular archive space for temperature specialists

Our temperature specialists, commonly known as 'stokers', also experienced problems due to a shortage of office space, caused by the increasing amount of administrative tasks and archiving," explains Paul.

"Because of the importance of handwritten documents within our quality system, we ordered a modular office unit from Algeco during this transition period. This unit was fully furnished as an office with integrated archive space."

Comfortable site office container for truck drivers

"And we've also invested in a comfortable site office container for our truck drivers, complete with sanitary facilities," Paul continues.
"As our staff areas within the factory halls are secured against access by third parties, it became difficult for drivers to spend their mandatory rest time in pleasant conditions. With a modular site office container measuring three by three meters, including a coffee machine and toilet facilities, they can enjoy their well-deserved rest without the need to adjust our safety plan."
